BEES LAKES

Bees Lakes is a 24-acre natural habitat area along the Sacramento River in West Sacramento.  It consists of two water bodies that are hydraulically connected to the River and surrounded by a mature riparian forest.  The City of West Sacramento was awarded a grant from the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta Conservancy in 2018 to study the Bees Lakes area and develop a Habitat Restoration Plan and designs for proposed improvements.

The Bees Lakes Habitat Restoration Plan is a planning and design effort to:

  • Improve the ecological value of the Bees Lakes property
  • Improve water quality of Bees Lakes
  • Improve Public Access and Management of Bees Lakes
